On 31 December 2023 the subject was arrested and detained in prison in Thailand through a claim filed by PGS Exploration (UK) Limited directors Rune Olav Pederson, Gottfred Langseth, and Christin Steen-Nilsen for criminal defamation. The subject was released on bail but had to return to Thailand from the US to appear in Criminal Court two times. No PGS Exploration (UK) Limited representative appeared and so the claim was dismissed.
